Welcome to our 2012 ASIS International Chapter 005 website. I would like to start the year off with a thank you to all who give their time to make this organization successful and the numerous companies and organizations which support our programs with time and funds. 

Our 2012 meetings are scheduled for March 8^th, May 10^th, August 9^th and December 12^th at the Chowder Pot Restaurant in Hartford.  The Chowder Pot has always been a good venue with free parking and easy highway access for our meetings.  The 2012 Golf outing will be held again at Lyman Orchards on June 13^th and the Law Enforcement Dinner will be October 10^th at the Aqua Turf in Southington, CT.

This year I would like our focus to be Professionalism.  We all are very aware that the security field is not just a 9-5 job, but a career and life style that we have chosen. We need to develop  close working relationships among In- House and contract security professionals which, due to the nature of competitive business can be a challenge, but it is important to share our knowledge and resources for the betterment of the our communities and State.

At our March 8th meeting our speaker is going to be Mr. Ryan Lefleur, Director of Safety, Security and Emergency Management at Waterbury Hospital.  He is going to speak on IHASS an organization of hospital safety and security professionals.

I look forward to seeing all the membership at our meetings and functions throughout the year.
